Which kind of show is right for my event?

Walk-around magic brings guests together while they mingle. A stage or stand-up show gives everyone a shared experience. A parlor show brings the magic close to a smaller group. Tell me about your event and I’ll recommend a format—or a combination.

How much does a show cost?

Your quote depends on the show, duration, audience and location. Send your date, venue and guest count for a clear, all-inclusive price. Travel is factored in, so you can plan your budget.

How do I book Chris Wheel?

Start with the quick quote form. We’ll confirm availability, choose the right show and review your quote. Once the details are agreed, complete the agreement and pay the 50% deposit to secure your date.

When is payment due?

A 50% deposit secures your date. The balance can be paid before the performance or on the event date. Cash, check, Venmo, PayPal, Cash App and credit cards are accepted; a processing fee may apply to credit cards.

What do I need to provide?

I bring my own audio equipment, props and the setup for your show. If your venue has a suitable house sound system, I can use that too. Easy access to the performance area is appreciated—ideally a ramp or step-free entrance for loading in. We’ll confirm the details together.

When do you arrive?

Usually 30 minutes to an hour before the show, with more time allowed for larger setups. We’ll confirm timing in advance so the entertainment fits your event schedule.

Where do you perform?

I’m based in Rome, NY, and perform across New York and beyond, including Massachusetts. Share your location, date and event ideas. Travel and the show format are reflected in your quote, so we can find a plan that works for your budget.

Are the shows family-friendly?

Yes. Family shows are designed for kids and grown-ups to enjoy together. Corporate and college shows use material suited to those audiences. Share the ages and occasion so I can plan the right experience.

Can you perform outdoors?

Yes, with an appropriate performance area and a plan for weather. We’ll discuss shade, sound and an indoor backup before confirming the setup.

Are you insured?

Yes. A certificate of liability insurance is available, including naming your venue as an additional insured when needed. Send the venue’s requirements when booking.

Do you offer magic workshops?

Yes—hands-on workshops for children and adults. Guests learn magic they can actually perform. Ask about the group size, ages and time available so we can discuss a suitable session.

Can we book more than one show?

Yes. Ask about a multi-show rate when booking several performances together. This can work well for libraries, schools and organizations planning more than one program.

What if I have accessibility or participation questions?

Please share anything that would help your guests enjoy the show, including seating, sound or participation needs. We can talk through the venue and performance before you book.
